Sooooooo looking forward to capturing this! Yay!

I paraphrase, "the idea - or the human response to the idea." Then, of course, the idea is a human response to something else, most likely...hee!

Hey, did John cut his hair off? It kinda looks that way in the pic.

Shotwell? Or that place on Valencia just off 16th?

la!

I think it has something to do with a sense that the authentic me is somehow wordless or speechless and has, on one level, a deep, soundless connection to the other person. Then there's this other level that exists at the same time. Maybe I'm not so comfortable there, or perhaps it's a way to make some kind of distance from this person who is so much a part of me and is, in some way, bit by bit, asserting some small necessary parts of herself as separate.

I never understood that. For my, I am I, H. (my beloved) is H. why does having a third or forth partner in the family change that?

I never could imagine referring to myself in 3rd person.

Is it really you? Or is it the world around you that does that to you?

Yep, and yep. Correct on both counts. Probably on three, if it's the same Kerry. She spoke well of you and your hubby.

Delighted to see the years have been good to you career-wise, Jennifer. Will try to swing by your blog again.

Hey, Jackie,

I'd be curious to hear what school that might have been...oh, heck - someone's gotta give up the anonymity some time. I went to Lower Merion High School class of '86. There ya go. Were you in Ms. Jewett's art class? If we were in class together I was the one who didn't talk much.

Also, I do know a Kerry who is a theater critic in Chicago. I'll drop her a line to see what she's up to! Thanks for the note.

Um...I am like 99% sure you were in my art class in high school. My friend Kerry, a theatre critic, posted skinny about your "Monsters" show on her blog. Saw your name, Googled accordingly. Glad to see you're still dancing and making art.

I live in Chicago with my husband, our daughter, and a kitty. I write grants to pay the bills, do spoken word/performance poetry, and the occasional two-dimensional art project. What spare time, indeed? :^)

Of course, I could be totally wrong about this, in which case you can feel free to disregard my comment. I'm fairly certain after seeing the pix on one of your sites that we did know each other. (I would be totally cool with you not remembering me, though, as I was pretty much the spazziest thing on two legs, back in the day.)

Anyway, best of luck to you on your new show. I've got to go feed my parking meter, so ciao for now.
